Prize for the best master's thesis

The objective of the prizes is to give an award for the best master's thesis written on a topic in Corporate Finance or Investment Banking. The prizes are awarded separately to students in the master's programs at Université Paris-Dauphine and at HEC Paris, by a jury composed of the professors in both institutions.

 

Université Paris-Dauphine

 

The FBF Chaire in Corporate Finance and Investment Bankin (endowed by the Fédération Bancaire Française - Université Paris-Dauphine - Hec), organizes the third edition of the Prize for the best masters's thesis on Corporate Finance or Investment Banking written at Université Paris-Dauphine.

Best thesis : 1500 euros

The prise competition is open to all students in the first and second year of their master's at Université Paris-Dauphine who have defended their thesis during the 2009-2010 academic year.

The winner of the prize at Paris-Dauphine is Olivier Dessaint for his thesis on "Do fairness opinions reduce behavioral biases in M&A?"

 

HEC Paris

 

Prize for the best master's thesis on Corporate Finance or Banking written at HEC Paris

FBF Prize for the Best Thesis in Corporate Finance or Banking: 1,500 euros

The prize has been awarded to the best master's thesis in either the Majeure Finance or the Master's in International Finance completed during the year 2010.

Prize 2010

The winner of the second edition of the FBF prize at HEC Paris is Michiel Celis, M.Sc. in Finance HEC 2010, for his thesis on  « The Performance of Real Estate Private Equity Funds: Fund characteristics, diversification and persistence in times of declining alpha performance (1994-2004) ».

The prize award ceremony was held on 29 September 2011 at HEC Paris, in the presence of Eric Henaff, Director of Studies at HEC Paris (Grande Ecole).
