HEC Paris and Université Paris-Dauphine organized the Third Paris Spring Corporate Finance Conference under the sponsorship of FBF, the French Banking Association. The conference was held on May 19-20, 2011 at the headquarters of the FBF in downtown Paris.

Franklin Allen (Wharton) delivered the keynote address on stakeholder capitalism (video podcast).

The conference covered a wide range of topics in the area of corporate finance, including papera on credit supply, listing decisions, innovation, investment policy, M&A and corporate aspects of the financial crisis and financial regulation (link to the full conference program).

Edith Ginglinger, Ulrich Hege, and Bill Megginson were the conference co-chairs.

For the first time, the conference was co-sponsored by the Review of Financial Studies under its Dual Submission system.  Andrew Karolyi acted as the RFS Sponsoring Editor.

We received more than 300 submitted papers, and the program of only 13 presented papers was selected by a highly prestigious program committee. The conference program with downloadable versions of the papers presented is online here. The registration for the conference is open to interested academics and practitioners.

The conference was preceded by a one-day Ph.D. workshop on May 18, comprised of two three-hour lectures that drew 35 participants from a variety of top Ph.D. programs. The workshop program is online here.

Video podcast available: The complete conference proceedings, including all presentations, discussions and plenary debates, as well as Franklin Allen's keynote address, are available on video here (you need Apple iTunes installed).
